How we make them

We control it all, from the first byte to the last gram of foam.

  1. URO Board Designer's 3D editor showing the board and its control curves

    3D CAD design

Designed and optimised in 3D for controlled performance and exact geometry.

  2. The workshop CNC milling a block of EPS

    Precision CNC cutting

Calibrated dimensions with a controlled tolerance of ±1 mm for a perfect fit.

  3. Gloved hands finishing a blue URO board

    Hand laminated

Under vacuum, to keep weight to a minimum and mechanical strength to a maximum.

Construction and materials

We only work with the best materials the industry has to offer: top quality, uncompromising strength and lightness optimised down to the last detail.

Design and build
  1. EPS core

High-density EPS core (15–20 kg/m³) for a light, strong base with excellent impact absorption.

  2. High-density PVC

We use high-density PVC under the feet and around the foil boxes to reinforce the most heavily loaded areas and deliver precise, lasting power transfer.

  3. Carbon laminate

We use biaxial carbon, Textreme® and selected technical fibres to get maximum response, lightness and strength in every build.

  4. Finish

We use epoxy resin with a built-in UV filter and a tinted finish with no paint, which cuts weight, improves resistance to ageing and keeps the laminate intact.

Tired of breaking boards?

Why go custom

A rider picks up his finished red URO board, with white pad and footstraps

Light and super-strong construction

Our boards are laminated entirely in carbon fibre, which gives exceptional stiffness and an optimal power-to-weight ratio. We add extra reinforcement in key areas —foil boxes, footstraps, rails and tail— to take hard impacts and extreme loads without losing responsiveness. The whole footstrap and standing area is reinforced with a high-density PVC sandwich. The result: an ultralight, precise board built to last, even in your toughest sessions.

Because your board doesn't age like the rest

Quality materials don't just perform better: they last longer. A well-built custom board takes impacts, flex, hours of sun, salt water and pounding waves without deforming or losing its snap. It doesn't go yellow after six months. It doesn't sound hollow. It doesn't break for no reason.

A production board might feel “light” on day one. A well-made custom one still does in year three. That's good economics too.

Because the design fits you, not the other way round

Got a particular technique, a spot with unique conditions or just a style that's all your own? Great. A custom board is designed for you, not to please the market. You can tweak the volume right where your back foot sits. Or soften the rocker exactly where your quiver needs it.

A production board makes you play by its rules. A custom one speaks your language.

Because you can follow your board being made, step by step

When you order a URO, you don't just choose what it will be like… you get to watch it being made, too. From the 3D shape of the core to the last coat of resin, you can follow the process, get photos, understand every technical decision and be part of the journey.

The result? You don't just get a new board. You get a story you already know before it touches the water.

Every URO is born in our own software

URO Board Designer is the program we design our boards with: outline, rocker, rails, foil boxes and finish, right through to the dimensioned drawing and the file for the CNC. Now we're opening it up to riders and shapers.

Going to keep riding the same old thing… or drop us a line and get your own board?

We don't make mass-produced boards, and we don't want mass-produced conversations either.

If you've got an idea, a crazy plan, a project that needs to fly, write to us. Tell us how you ride, what you're after, what's missing.
